Mommy's Turn

Saturday was Mommies turn to take Nicholas swimming. Grandpa Polzin was there to see it all. It was a short session, Nick was shivering, so we left, but he enjoyed being in the giant bath.

Saturday night all of were able to see Addison Ozelie baptized. (sorry no pictures).

Nick's appetite is back, he is downing bottles is eating most everything! We are so grateful. Now if we can just get him to relax longer in a car ride and not scream his lungs out after 30 minutes.

Swim Lessons

Saturday Nick had his first swim lesson! Daddy has been looking forward to taking him swimming since....last August!! Tim had a blast and Nick enjoyed himself. I think next week will be even better for him, unfortunately he just wasn't himself that day.

We also celebrated Great Grandma's 82nd Birthday. Nick enjoyed playing with his cousins and second cousins (on Mommy's side of the family)!
On Sunday Nick got to meet his Great Aunt Sharon and Great Uncle Mark and he also got to play with his cousin and more second cousins (on Daddy's side)!

Coming to a location near you

Want a visit from Nicholas? Leave a comment or email me and he just might stop by.

Tomorrow, Nick begins swim lessons. We are excited for it because we think he'll love it.

He doesn't like to try new people foods...we foresee this being a issue for us. So puree the food or else he won't eat it.

This past Tuesday was his 11 month birthday.

He Loves

Time for another Nick Loves update:
Nick loves to climb the stairs at any chance he can get and looks back at us knowing he's not suppose to.
He loves boxes, cardboard boxes are most fun.
He loves the dogs across the grassy divide
He loves outside and stands by the window when he can't go out.
He use to love going into all of the cabinets until Dad put locks on them all, now he just gets frustrated.
He loves to tell you he's all done eating by dropping his food that is on his tray on the floor.
He loves to go to day care and have so much fun that he doesn't get any sleep when there.
He loves cheerios...by the handful.
He loves to dance to any tune, sing a few notes and he'll bob his head from side to side. If you're good he might even sway his body.
He loves his wooby, and thanks to Grandma Bowmans research, we have 2 new identical woobys on their way.
He loves Mommy and Daddy.

Wooby

His Wooby...we were lucky to received many different "woobies" before Nick was born, but only two of them, with the identical feel and look, have become his favorite. We thought we wouldn't need anymore but since he chews on them, they are wearing out and Grandma Bowman keeps having to make repairs. So over the past few months Mom and Dad have been on the search for the exact one. Mission impossible. We have however found one that nearly looks identical but the material is different. He gets pretty funny with his rejections. Here is one from last night after trying to introduce a new one.

Nick is still learning how to hold a bottle up so that he can drink..

Hand Foot And Mouth

No that title isn't what he's been up to, but instead what he is infected with. He's out of day care and commission for 3-5 days. We knew something was wrong on Easter but when we took his temperature we realized why. It climbed to 103.5 in the middle of the night. Lindsey took him to the doctor today to find out the results. He's a trooper, but is extremely cuddly and occasionally in pain. Currently he has large blisters in the back of his throat, there still is a chance he could get them on his hand and feet.

Friday we took Nick to Cosley Zoo with Cousin Cormac and Declan...we weren't the only people with that idea, the place was JAMMED pack. But everyone had a good time and Nick got to see many animals for the first time. He almost pet a horse but retracted his arm at the last second. He also wanted to go play with the big cow, but we weren't going to let navigational Nick go do that.

Saturday we enjoyed attending neighbor Jacks 1st birthday party. Jack loved that cake!

Easter Sunday we all went to church, (drove separate since Dad was helping out the youth group Easter Breakfast) Afterward we headed out to Grandma & Grandpa Polzin's for a wonderful meal. Nick followed cousin Max all around.
All by himself, Nick hunted and found some plastic eggs.
Here Max is lending a hand to offer to help Nick up. It was very cute!!!

Good Friday

The first week at daycare was a little rough. They are changing his sleep schedule by quite a bit, and since he doesn't like to sleep when people are playing around him, its challenging.

Nick tried to climb, out of the bath tub this week...man he can lift his leg up high.

A short stroll outside. (that is just a shadow on his face)

Neighbor Jack sharing a warm greeting.

We are looking forward to celebrating Nick's first Easter.
