1 Year Photo Shoot

We finally were had the time to get Nick in for the photo shoot. Dad sure would like to get those back drops so that he could do it himself one day.

Nick had a fun weekend, he received a blow up swimming pool from Grandma and Grandpa Polzin friday. And on Saturday we were at a birthday party where Nick went into the pool with Dad. A fun pool weekend!

Nick must think he's two or at least getting a head start. He likes to throws temper tantrums and if you tell him not to do something 50 times, he'll slowly sneak over to where he's not allowed watching you the whole time and do it again. Mom and Dad are working on it.

Missing Mommy

The other day when Mom was out of town Nick kept repeating her name, so Dad came up with the clever I idea to play Mommy's old voice mails from his old phone. Nick loved it!

The down side is that he thinks everything is a phone and hold it up to his ear and talks to it, bookmarks, markers, diapers, the list goes on.

Sorry I am late to post this today, Nick and I had to go on a 4 hour press run (to resolve issue at a printer). Nick did a great job and even skipped his nap.

Two more notes, Mommy started tucking nick in at night, Nick loves when she says- Tucka tucka tucka...Also another word he says on occasion is wobeee = wobby. He still only loves those original 2 he has more than anything.

Fathers Day weekend

At the Polzin's Grandparents, Nick played in the pool.

Saturday Dad and Nick planted flowers in the front, a long awaited Mothers day present. Sunday Mom and Nick woke Dad up with breakfast in bed, Nick enjoys eating in bed.

Words Nick knows and says-
Baaaw = Ball ....his favorite thing and word, he points to the ball as he says it. He says this word about 600 times a day.
Dogkeey = Doggy ....followed buy OOOOOOhhh, he LOVES dogs!!!
Mom mom momy = Mommy
Da da = Daddy

Words people have over heard him say but that are not regulars-
Nigh nigh = Night Night

Nickarooster

Why that name? It's the name I made up because he wakes when the sun rises...even though his room is darker than a cave. Mom and Dad are tired.

We missed posting his 13 months photo's...he's a lot more tame than usual, he sat for a whole 7 seconds compared to 2.

He'll keep these sweet spiderman glasses on for about .003 of a second.

Nashville or Bust

Delaney, Nick & Dusty

We took Nick down to Nashville, TN for a long weekend. Let me tell you, driving 9 hours with a 1 year old is as painful as it sounds. Nick couldn't sleep well in the car so he was fairly cranky!!! On the 9 hour drive back..he slept for 25 minutes early on...then 5 minutes from home.
Mommy stayed downtown Nashville and went to the concerts for CMA Fest on Thursday and Saturday night. She was sick on Friday and Daddy was sick on Saturday to Sunday night, we think it might have been from the ridiculous heat! Daddy and Nick stayed with cousin Dory and her family. Thank you to all of them for being such great hosts! And Tony has brewed an incredible IPA that Daddy enjoyed Thursday night. Delaney and Dusty were amazing with Nicholas! He loved playing with them. Dad had the chance to take Nick and go see Aunt Sharon and to go golfing with Uncle Mark where he learned a few pointers.

All in all I would say we had an exhausting but good trip! Would have been much better if no one was sick!!

On Wednesday Daddy turned me around and put me in my new car seat for the longest drive of my life.

Lastly, Nick got his first hair cut by Cousin Dory.

Birthday Party Central

Happy Birthday to Max (2) and Cormac (1)! Nick thanks you because he was able to eat cake TWO days in a row.

Nick is in the red shirt, walking Aunt Lisa down to Lake Bowman. As you will note, cousin Cormac began walking recently, hes with Grandma Bowman.

Nick is riding in a wagon at Max's party (blue shirt). He requested it and his new friends thought it was a good idea to. Yes that little guy actually pulled not 3 but 4 other kids around.

He is getting another tooth, a bottom one to join his other two. As we learned last week about the green beans, they are not alone. Nick refuses to eat anything green. So we try to sneak it in to his food.

But wait, there's more...

Over the weekend Nick learned that when food is hot, you have to blow on it to cool it down. Here is a photo of Nick copying Dad, who's showing him how its done.

Nick's birthday balloon lost all of its air, don't worry Nick is not sad. Now he just drags it around instead.
It is so cute, he Nick open a book and starts reading, in his baby talk. Yes, not one thing he says is an actual word but he knows that when you open a book you apparently talk.

The other night, Nick being so tired for the night, Mom & Dad looked at each other because we swore we just heard him say, night night (nigh nigh) he then waved to us while walking over to the stairs.
