Start off last weekend with a Babypalooza breakfast and presents-

Nick either likes playing with older kids all the time, or just really likes playing with Madeline.

Nick and Kevin have been loving putting up the ornaments on the Advent calendar. 

Kevin has learned to blow kisses. His favorite food is chicken. He sure is eating well lately and that is a good thing because Dad has been feeding him until he rejects the food..then tries to feed him more.:)

Santa Want List; Nick wants Percy (From Thomas the Train) & Spiderman.

Kevin...yeah maybe next year he'll let Santa know.

More First Words & Santa

Nick finally was able to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas while Kevin met the big guy for the first time. Nick explained quietly that he wanted Percy from Thomas the Train and Spiderman.

Kevin received his first haircut this week. He was not a fan. Nick, took this photo.

Kevin is a master at saying "Da Da" for the past week, and is starting to use "Ma Ma" on request. He loves signing for food in his own way which it's pretty funny. He is trying to say "where did it go" and make the motion with his hands. He is also starting to say "bye bye"

Kevin loves wires, and especially loves to wrap them around his the back of his neck. So we hide them the best we can even though he is on a mission to seek them. 

Nicholas has been taught to make his bed before getting out of it in the morning. He trying really hard and loves to do it. If he sees that Mom and Dad's isn't made yet, he'll remind us that we forgot and then step up and make it himself. 

Winter time is cold, but Nick loves the pictures on his short sleeve shirts much better than the long sleeves. So to compromise, he wears the long sleeve under his choice of short sleeve shirt.

11 Months Old. Let the Christmas Season Begin

Dad and Uncle Todd ran in a 5k Santa Run back where we grew up.

He wanted to sit up front, I don't recall his smile ever leaving.

Kevin has been given strict orders to be on the nebulizer everyday throughout the winter.

Wednesday evening he was taken to the ER because of his breathing. After some X-Rays, some medicine was given and as of today he's doing better. You can imagine, he hates it.

Kevin Smiles is now 11 months old.

New Cry

Kevin has a new cry this week. It's the one that really tugs on the heart strings, the kind of cry that he digs down for to real let you know he's upset.

So with that known, Mommy and Daddy have been running on little sleep this week. We are not sure why Kevin is still waking up in the middle of the night or why he's up for good at 5am.

There are no new photos this week, but I did take some video of Kevin walking around. He has really taken to it and now prefers it his main mode of transportation.

As you know Grandpa and Grandma Polzin recently got a new dog. A couple weeks ago Kevin met "Tapper" for the first time. 

Kevin took to the dog well and they had a lot of fun playing.

Nick has enjoyed staying up a little later recently so he can watch classic Christmas tv shows with Mommy and Daddy.

Wedding in Arizonia & Thanksgiving

First, I'll start off where we were last week- Mom & Dad went to Arizona for an old college friends wedding.  Special thank you goes out to Grandma and Grandpa Bowman for taking care of a fever fill Kevin along with and ear infection and his brother.

We very excited to see Jack and his new bride along with a bunch of Dad's fraternity brothers. Before the wedding we stayed two nights with the Eldridge's who recently moved down there this year.

 The day before the wedding, we rode in the open west. 

The following week, we were upon Thanksgiving.

These are all Nick and Kevin's second cousins from the Moore side. That night, Kevin really showed off his walking skills, as he walked about 6-10 steps a few times.

After a tired couple days, Nick and Daddy relaxed and watch "Frosty the Snowman" for the first time.

Hi-Five! Kevin is 10 Months Old

Kevin is now 10 Months old!
He learned from school how to give Hi-Fives. Combine that with his goodbye wave and the teachers at school take him around the school so he can share his smile and new talents.

Kevin has also learned to give kisses and is starting to hug.

Kevin's FIRST WORD & Halloween!

Kevin started saying his first work last weekend, "Uh Oh"

He learned it from school since we don't say that. It's pretty cute to hear!

Kevin learned to wave "night night" or "goodbye" to you.  

 We had a busy Halloween week, preparty with Baby Palooza's

The day then finally came when he could dress up and go trick or treating. We surprised him and invited his friends over.

This group of friends from school have been together since being babies.

Cole (in Blue) is his best friend, Teagan (the witch) is Nicks girlfriend.

Kevin Loves - 1st Edition

Kevin loves to play with his brother!

He loves to makes a mess, I've seen him dig for a toy and throw toys out of his way.

He loves to wake up early like his big brother.

He loves to play on the newly discovered Toddler piano.

He loves to sneak up the stairs when you are not looking.

He loves crawling around with something in his hand. Usually a drumstick.

He loves to eat people food, drinking milk from bottles is a waste of his time.

He loves to smile.

Family Fun

We carved out this pumpkin that Mom and Nick designed.

Kevin LOVES to push Nick around on his "car." Sometime he gets going real fast and Kevins little legs keep running most of the time.

A little time on Dads shoulders.

I swear we don't do that to his hair, it happens naturally.

Kevin was exploring how his teeth work on his crib.

Also this week Kevin learned to way bye bye, it's pretty cute.

Stand Tall

He's been pushing himself off objects all week, testing his new ability.

Here we just put him down and he stood and clapped.

Sometimes the perfect moment is captured by a terrible photo.

Nick loves to write his name!

Kevin went back to the doctor this week for another checkup. He gained 8 ounces in one week and he was sick that week. I guess that new feed him until he's full diet is working. 

Since he has had two wheezing coughs they want to put him on a month long breathing steroid to prevent asthma.

Our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary

Rewind 10 Years today and we were standing near a lake at a forest preserve on a rainy day. We just finished expressing our love for one another at a beautiful ceremony from the church down the road.

Now fast forward to today.

Kevin needs to eat more, so this week we started to allow him to feed himself. 

He doesn't mind the mess.

The bad news is he's in the bottom 3% for weight and height. And as of late, he doesn't want more than two ounces of milk from the bottles (this is where he gets most of his fat and calories). He is still breastfeeding and loves to eat at night, but it's not enough.

Daddy took the boys to the Zoo this week.

Kevin Turns 9 Months old

Mr. Smiles is now 9 months old.

Nick wanted to know when we were going to eat cake.

This morning Kevin stood up on his own for about 20 seconds, holding nothing but air. He has never done that before.

Notice the background? It's been over 2 years since we took a photo here if I recall correctly. 

Nicks favorites-

Tv show- Last week was "Bo on  the Go" this week its "Super Why" both learning programs, he chooses those out of all of the online options.

Favorite book- "I Stink" its about a garbage truck.

Nick getting dirty, and his golf ball back. 

(don't mind the cracked well cover, I've replaced that several times and the lawn service keeps breaking it.

The family was there to celebrate a family friends 1st birthday. It was a superhero party.

This is a tease of what is to come for Halloween.

Nick has been looking forward to Halloween since the last Halloween. We had to start a calendar count down.

Kevin - Lawyer

This, according to school is his future career path.

Walking the lion along...at his own pace. 

 He got a hold of a green crayon.

Kevin recently has learned to hold his own bottle, he just has to learn to hold it at an angle.

Both kids have their own room. Dad moved Nick's bed to the basement and transformed Kevin's room back to 2009 when it was just Nick in there. It's a little surreal, ie. rocking Kevin in the same chair in the same location that I did for Nick, but over 2 years later.
