Nicks First White Sox Game

 It was a special Sunday last week, I was getting to finally take Nick to a White Sox game. A team I grew up watching. It was kids day so we went with Uncle Todd and Cousin Max along their friends son Brody.

The biggest hit was the mister that rained down on the kids, it was like they were at a water park. It was in the 90's that day.  Sadly Nick and Max were not able to take park in some of the activities because they were wearing sandals and crocs. Nick needed to have on his running shoes.

I went to guest relations and verified that he could run the bases. They said he could.

With a line of kids that wrapped around most of the half of the ballpark, they entered onto the field. Watch for a laugh-

I guess I need to take a day off of teaching him batting and teach him how to run the bases.
Speaking of batting, Nick has began making contact on hitting the ball after it's been thrown to him.

This little peanut will do anything it takes to watch TV.

Not only posting up, Kevin has been learning to sit up more on his own. He still falls over but you can see him trying to counter it. Also, he is definitely more alert these days, he is beginning to know his surroundings. When he gets near his pack-n-play he lets out a cry, but only until the binky gets inserted into his mouth.
We have moved him to #2 size bottle nipples, so he is finally downing that 3.5 -4oz bottle in no time now. Our kids have not been big eaters.

Brothers

This is where he sleeps at home and how he does it. As soon as he wakes up only 1 time at night we can move him into Nicks room where the crib is. Right now he wakes 2-3 times.

They surprisingly all made it to the 8th inning with about roughly 5 trips out of their seats.

Saying Goodbye to Friends

We said goodbye to some close friends recently. 

They are moving to Arizona and will be dearly missed. Nick and Emily had one last playtime together. 

Too cute! 

-He's making sounds-

Kevin's favorite things are his hands. He enjoys folding them up and then banging himself in the face. His 2nd favorite things are his feet, he loves putting them in his mouth. 

Nick has been great with going on the potty this week. No accidents, just one big "drip".

Also, he has yet to understand the concept of being quiet when he's around Kevin. Nine times out of ten Kevin gets awaken by Nick.

Coincidence

Kevin, in the same outfit that I took photos of Nick in when he was this age, and it was just a coincidence. Kevin is sleeping pretty good on his belly in the pack-n-play in our room. He wakes up too often still to have the boys share a room. Also, he sleeps on his belly because like a crab, they don't like to be on their back. As soon as you put him on his back, he'll grab his toes and roll over. 

He smiles often and when nobody's looking, he is talking in his own language.

I might have said this before but a big relief is changing Kevin's his diaper. Nick hated it and would cry, kick, and roll over, Kevin just lays there and smiles back at you.

Nick has had some trouble with potty training lately. We are trying to get him back on the right track. He doesn't mind wet underwear.

3 Years Old!

So much went on this past weekend that I don't have enough time to show it all. 

Thursday, Daddy took Nick and Kevin to the zoo. We had a real good time seeing all of the animals and it's a great way to wear Nick out. 

 The day before Nick's 3rd birthday the four of us ran a race. The Dads, a 5k, the kids ran a 100 yard dash.

Technically Nick was still 2, but we put him in the 3-4 race so he could race Max. When they said go, Nick didn't go. So he raced with his age bracket. Below is the result. There is a reason he calls himself "Dash" from movie "The Incredibles".

 There were birthday celebrations at the Bowman's, Nick's theme this year was Superman. He also received another Superman cake at the Polzin's on Sunday/Mother's day, but Dad doesn't have any photos from that day, just video. Overall it was a great birthday weekend for a 3 year old.

PS. I can't believe I've been doing this for 3 years...

Kevin's 4 Month Checkup

Cousin Henry celebrated his 1st birthday last weekend. We were all there in attendance but don't have any photos at this time. 

Baby Kevin had his 4 month checkup this week.

 We took a nice trip to the Zoo this week. It was a great day out!

Those are Nicks new shoes on the far right ;), we call them his running shoes. He sure has some big feet! This Sunday is Nick's 3rd birthday, the day before, he is running his first race. A 100 yard dash.

He loves to run at any chance he can get.

Birthday Surprise and Another Month Older

This past weekend we dropped off Kevin to Uncle Todd & Aunt Amanda's for the day/night. The rest of us headed out to "play in the water" as we told Nick. We arrived at Kalahari Water Park in the Dells, we bent down to his level and told him that this was his birthday present from us. A great big "Thank you Mommy Daddy" said Nick, and he gave us a double hug. The next 24 hours he had the time of his life. I We can't wait to go back again.

He loved getting tossed and turned around on the slides.

Kevin has really developed his grabbing skills this week.

This past week he also found his feet, which has lead to more rolling over.

Kevin is 4 months old today. Nick will be 3 years old next week.

Mr. laughing and smiles...has been up at 5am every day this week.
