Christmas 2014

The Bowman Family Christmas

Kevin, the performer.

The kids were very anxious to open presents no matter what time it was. (10pm) :)

Nick received a lot of BeyBlades for Christmas. 13 in fact. So for days all he did was "rip bey's" against anyone that would play with him. Here Grandpa Polzin was his opponent.

Visiting an old college friend Uncle Drew. The kids had fun too. Of course Nick brought his Bey's and challenged people.

Nick and I constructed a tournament to see who was the best. Krono's (top left) dominated.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Let it be known the Kevin is growing!
From middle August to early December Nick has grown a half of an inch. In the same period of time Kevin grew TWO INCHES. This might explain some of his recent crankiness.

We got together with Nick's old best friend Cole and his family.

Let Christmas time begin.

Everyone helped out trimming the brand new LED tree.

Later, we went with the Bowmans to the Arboretum to see the festival of lights.

On the way back from Church with your cousins we stopped to get some lunch.

Oh the places you sleep Kevin.

I took you with to get Daddy new tires, the pet store, out to dinner, grocery and Christmas shopping...you deserved this frozen blueberry mango yogurt.
When I tucked you in for bed I told you that I had fun with you today. Kevin, you sat up and said thank you, then gave me a kiss. Man I love you!

Nick loves making breakfast and on weekends they get to have some fun cereal. When Kevin saw Nick pouring Franken Berry into the bowl, you raised your arms and excitedly said "This is awesome!!!!"

66th month. As for Kevin, his last monthly photo shoot before he turns 3.

Reading Halloween Soccer School

Man, life sure speeds up as you kids are getting older. It's hard to keep up with this blog even though I have every intention to.

You got to feed baby Gracy. You were so delicate with her.

In October I was your kindergartener class teachers assistant, Aka a "Watchdog Dad". I received several hundred high-fives, introduced myself to his whole school over the PA, helped 25 kids learn math and read a story to them. Coincidentally Nick, you earned the Principals award for the week, it was announced to the school when I was in the room with the other Dads along with the Principal.

We must be corn maze masters. For the second year in a row we finished a 20-40 minute maze in five minutes...that or they are really overselling these things.

The season is over, this was the first time Nick was on a soccer team. The time spent was an exciting time for Mom and Dad and you. Even Grandma and Grandpa Bowman came out to watch you play bunch of times.

Mickey & The Ninja Warrior
For trick or treating, it was dry and the temp was 45 degrees.

You'll do anything not to sleep in your toddler bed. Christmas is coming...

For Grandpa Polzin's 70th birthday, the Uncle Todd and I took him up to Milwaukee to tour around the breweries and distilleries. We even went to the Old German Hall to celebrate his 100% German roots.

Nick, it's amazing hearing you learn to read!!!

At this point Kevin, you just like the sounds and pressing buttons. However you are beginning to make the connection.

September/October

I'll start off by posting a forgotten photo from August despite the blog title.
Their first dentist appointments and they did awesome! Everyone was very impressed with the boys behavior.

Monthly photos are back....65 months is how long we've been doing them.
Kevin for the first and only time ever is exactly half the age of Nick.

At a church that we are looking to join they held a fall festival where Nick, you road a horse.

And Kevin, you got to touch a horse for the first time.

You find interesting ways to keep yourself busy during Nick's soccer games.

Daddy picked up some local fire wood and you boys helped me move it to the back yard.

Cousins hanging out.

Feeding baby Charlie.

Nick you are learning about the moon, rhyming words and opposites. You love and don't like math.

Kevin went #2 two mornings in a row. We are trying to correct the lack of willingness to try to potty train you.

For the first time ever, Nick you pulled out everything we need for the morning breakfast. I was very proud and will now lower all of these things so that they are easier for you to reach.

August Fun

At this point in Dads life he is doing pushups every day. When this photo was taken he was at 55. Here Mommy is showing you how to do them.

Daddy & Son project. 401 pieces to this "Back to the Future" Lego car.

Nick is really good at adapting to new bikes.

For some reason Kevin, you climbed up on the hydrant, and started blowing the dandelion flowers off. Meanwhile the sun light shined down right on you. I love this photo.

While the new patio was being put in, Kevin and Nick pulled up chairs to watch the men work.

At your very first soccer game, you fell down a lot, elbowed people by accident, and scored two awesome goals!!!

Polzin Cousins came for a visit. It went from four to six really quick.

August 14 - Nick's First Day of Kindergarden

The day started out when we took you out for breakfast...no, the day actually started for you Nick at 5am. You woke up early and were super excited. You got dressed in a collared shirt and wanted to leave for school right away. We played with you and then headed to breakfast.

Your gang from the home day care going off to school.

It was a big day for Mom and Dad. We were both there to send you off.

Later that day you were exhausted. We took you to out for a Mexican lunch and then to see Planes 2.
You rested on the sidewalk after eating some cake.
