I
woke Nick up one night as asked, do you want run a kids triathlon? I
was more excited that he was, but he said, sure after I explained what
it all meant. One lap in the Y pool
Two bike loops
And running one loop around the school. He did it! You came in 6th out of 24 other racers. You wold have done better but I put on that shirt that wouldn't fit around your neck. Sorry 'bout that.
...Kevin, you're riding the next size up bike...
Lets go to the beach I said, you guys jumped up and down with excitement. And so I took a day off work and that's what we did.
Sunbathing
The beach...in Naperville.
I made you order the ribs...the kids size portion. By the 4th rib, you told me it was too hot still. Impossible, I took a bit. Why would they put a spicy sauce on a kids meal? Nice job eating as much as you did!
We watched a TON of the Summer 2016 Olympics in the house. We had every sport on demand and the boys loved watching them with me. The best quote came from Kevin during the swimming.
He asked, "Why is she holding onto our TV?" We were all laughing.
I took a trip to a birthday celebration with the Polzin family. Sitting to my left is Grace and to my right, Charlie. Can't forget Max and Henry in the back.
I also took a trip with my fraternity brothers to 11 breweries in Michigan for my birthday weekend.
Another round of "Mommy's not home, what does that mean?" SMOOTHIES
Kevin, you later changed your vote.
First day of 2nd grade for you Nick
Just some Zucchini from our garden.
Outside playdoh is the best.
Nicks cooling down after soccer.
Funny sleeping
Smores, Angry Birds movie on the house and camping with Dad in the back yard. It was a great night despite the thunderstorms that I didn't plan for.
Mommy went out with some work people.
Earlier this morning Nicks soccer game was canceled.
We then went to lake Michigan with our neighbors the Graff family and onto their boat. The weather turned perfect!
Nick, Dad, Kevin. Tubing in Lake Michigan. Doesn't get much cooler than that.
Everyone having a good time.
August was a great month for the family and
Mom and Dad turned a year older.
Kevin is less enthused with Micky Mouse and more with Paw Patrol these days. He also remains the slowest eater on the planet.
Nick also likes to watch Paw Patrol but loves reading Star Wars books.
They both earned enough marbles to buy stickers for their rooms. And so Kevin who earned the most first, got giant Paw Patrol Stickers, and Nick later, bought large Star War stickers. A common theme in the Polzin house these days.
