April 2017 - Easter & Take Your Child To Work Day

95th Monthly Photo

You're five, in a 2T coat.

Your school took you to a class at Home Depot

Uh, Nick...you are eating that sucker wrong.

Kev & Dec

No big deal...this is how we told you boys we were going to Disney World. A countdown calendar. Nick, you were kinda of excited, Kevin you were super excited. I recorded it.

Soccer Brothers

Neighbor Brady is on Kevin's team. Will made a sign for them both.

Kevin's first game...you just kept running, the ball was not your mission. With a smile on your face you run around the ball, pass the ball, and sometimes head in the wrong direction. By game 3 you kicked the ball and even had an assist!

From the soccer field to the Easter Egg Hunt.

Dying Eggs

A table full of cousins!

Celebrating Grandma Moore's 89th Birthday!

2nd Grade Science Project. Nick's painting of a Ora Whale is the blue one. The task was to make a 3D of your choice. We glued on his tail.

Learn all about the Ora in Nick's mini-me.

There's Nick in the Blue Mindcraft shirt at the Fine Arts Concert

Daddy rebuilt the pantry shelving, it can hold a lot more.

Bring your child to work day. My first ever official opportunity.

Painting our letters.

Preparing your blue mow-hawk!

At the cutoff in line...we got a photo with Mary Dillon, our CEO.

March 2017 - First Blackhawks Game & Creative Bedtime

94th Monthly Photo

When you are suppose to be in bed, your five year old mind is most creative. ;)

That's a clever way to sit and watch your brother play video games.

I love this photo. Don't focus on what you see in the refection, look beyond.

Your first Blackhawks game. We received these tickets from Grandpa Bowman.

We left the game at 10:30, it was a school night. They went into OT afterwards.

You got to see the statue of the greatest basketball player ever.

Hanging at Dads desk. You explain it as your friend is on a board above an crocodile, you are the croc.

You were suppose to be sleeping.

You love climbing that thing. My remote control car was chasing you. It's a fun game you boys like to play.

I had lunch with my parents and I took you with Kev. We performed the Ancestry DNA tests on them. We should get their results in a couple months.

Speaking of Ancestry, I made this shirt for March 17th. Almost ever year I get together with some SigEps, take the day off and watch the Friday of March Madness.

February 2017 - Chicago Auto Show & Friends

93rd Monthly Photo

I took you to your first Auto show! Then to a get a hair cut.

I Love this photo!
It was pretty funny at first, you kept getting into the backseat of every car. You had a HUGE smile on your face when I told you that you could sit in the drivers seat. Your mission was apparently counting all of the compartments. The winner was the utility vehicle, The Sprinter.

Aunt Lisa and Uncle Leigh took you to got see Paw Patrol Live for your Birthday! We were told you were locked in and you loved it!

Our first meal at the new table.

Sleeping quarters. Your choice.

We had to first step over the guards.

Every night we ask you boys to tells us three things that you did today. Kevin, you don't usually recall or give enough details of your day. Here are a couple examples of his day.

Kevin made Chinese letters. Not sure what they mean.

Nick and Kevin's friends from practically birth, Cole and Marley came over to play.

Grandpa and Dad installed those recessed lights in the kitchen.

As I was writing this, you both turned into each other smashing heads. Tears ensued.

Janurary 2017 - More Birthday then Chicago

Last day before I turn 5. Every year we ask you if you want the tree to be left up for your Birthday, so far they have all been yes's.

Breakfast in bed!

Balloons from G and G Bowman. PAW PATROL!

Movie night.

A cute kid.

End of an era. Daddy bought that 36" tube TV right before Mommy and I got married. Well it's very outdated and it was time to get rid of it so I can make space for our video game/theater room in the basement.
A Nick and Mommy creation. You are excited to use your new kids cookbook.
Your FIRST train ride!!! We headed downtown Chicago for the weekend.
Daddy requested a fish for our room. You guys named it Thomas after Grandpa Polzin.
 Adler Planetarium - Exploring space.
I love this photo! It just sums up how much you love space Kevin. You traveled, probably by a rocket ship, into your imagination.
While there we watched a movie called - Planet 9
It was very impressive!

We picked a interesting time to travel to the city. Our hotel was 2  blocks away from Trump tower where Donald Trump was just sworn in as President. Some people didn't like him and were protesting in our path to get food. The next day there was a women's march that consumed the city.
After having a rough time getting to our hotel, I gave the guy at the front desk a $20 sandwich. Nobody knows what that is but, look that up. I asked for an upgrade and in our second night had a free upgraded 3 room Luxury Suite. Everyone enjoyed that!
You guys loved Maggi Daily Park!
Millennium park

The Bean

You were high-fiving yourself.

Daddy & Mommy and a blue Nick in the background.

My family. Just over 5 years ago we took this same photo with just Mommy and Nick.

At Kevin's school the theme for January was SPACE. Kevin was beyond excited and even wore his space costume one day.
