Today was the day that you learned Righty Tighty, Left Loosy. 

To earn a badge Kevin, you made this interested game. Then water was accidentally spilled on it, only creating a fun, river experience for shortcuts. 

Fort's ....some are dangerous.

You split open your chin, diving on the gym floor on your way to the bathroom. It didn't hurt and you didn't know it happen until you saw blood, lots of it.

Harry Potter couldn't find his costume from last year so the night of, Dad ran out to buy another one. But this came out of Nicks savings for not looking for it sooner.

Actually, I feel asleep on the couch and you snuggled up to me. When I woke up I found you next to me sleeping. Mom took the photo.

The lightbulb came on. Kevin you scored 1 goal all of last season.  The past 3 games this month, you've scored 3 goals each game!

Back to scouts, we had a local gathering at the park to meet everyone and the the local Boy Scouts 597 came and cooked you guys some marshmallows.  

Kev is back at these reports. 

 At a den meeting where you played and did a cool craft.

You guys "helped" me clean and scrub the garage floor.  

To prepare it for the seal I was going to put down.  

Epoxy. Not sure how long this will last but report back to me after reading this years from now.

At the Bavarian Lodge were we celebrated our German heritage. Nick had the wiener schnitzel and Kevin you had the meat loaf. You boys were starving or really enjoyed your dinner.

You both are fascinated with chewing gum and blowing bubbles. 

In August, we started giving you boys an allowance. 

Nick you like to save your money so you can buy bigger $20 things. Kevin you can't keep money in your pocket before you spend it on food at Nicks baseball games. 

This month Nick, you learned that you can snap your fingers. Your favorite subject is Math.

Kevin you are learning to read and getting better every day. Also, you asked if you could play baseball, I said Kevin, you have to learn to catch the ball first. Then you started to. In a couple years I'll be able to throw a ball as hard as I can at you and you'll catch it. I'll walk away with a smile and a sore arm. 

August 2018 - A Month of Firsts

110 Months. Wow! 

 I had a new crew member on my boat today.

 While it was fun, with you sitting there was kind of like driving a rear wheel car up a hill in the snow.

That "rock island" behind us is all shells in the DuPage River! 

 For your birthday, Aunt Lisa took you to IFly! You loved it!

Kevin loves his bands. Swimming lessons, day camp group, Sheboygan, and Lifetime. 

Celebrating Grandma Bowmans birthday at KiKu Hibachi. 

You learned that you are going to have Mrs. Carlisle for 4th grade. You were SOOO excited, with a great big YESSS knee to the floor and a fist of total happiness.  Kevin was also excited when he learned he too will be having Mrs. Aducci, Nicks 1st grade teacher.

Nick starts 4th grade and Kevin starts 4th. 

Another first, we sold our first home on August 16th. Since 2003, so many memories were made there. You can see the beginning on this blong.  We've been renting it out since 2013.

Just because Mom and Dad share a birthday doesn't mean someone doesn't have miss out on breakfast in bed.  

Also on our Birthday Mom and I hung out in downtown Naperville then had a fun filled night at a friend/coworkers wedding in Rosemont.

 Visiting the Polzins.  You guys spent the night there while we went to the wedding.

Mom likes to take pictures of when Dad falls asleep napping on the couch. Well I had just woke up but look who feel asleep next to me. 

Today I introduced the kids to Scouting. Mr Freeze was there.
