Later that weekend, I finished. All stairs now have railings. That was a big job that I never want to do again.
March Madness!
Spring Break 2024 took us to London, Brussels, Ghent and Bruges in 8 days. It was amazing to see so much history with buildings and art over 1,000 years old. There were a lot of chocolates, waffles, mussels consumed. We all compared our step count each day as it closed in around 8 mile average. Nick and I ran a 2.5 miles in the early morning hours one day, though the streets of Brussels. We toured the Gravensteen castle in Ghent. We saw two Musicals while in London, Lion King and Back to the Future. Overall, an excellent adventure!
We took a bike tour that took us around to some of the most famous Monuments. Big Ben
London's Chinatown. It was packed with lines to get in to restaurants.
In Brussels, we waiting in line to get a famous sandwich from Tonton Garby. You three loved yours, fruit mixed with the sausage and cheese...Dad unfortunately did not love his.

We tried lots of chocolate. Mary's was our favorite.
And of course we had to try various waffles.
Kevin and I made our way to a Illusion Museum
Out to dinner at the Brasserie Ommegang brewery. The mussels were outstanding.
We hoped on a tour bus and went to two more cities. We toured the Gravensteen in Ghent
Walked around Bruges
Also while in Bruge we went to the most famous hot Chocolate location in Europe, according to them and reviews. I should also mention that we had an amazing lunch here at Vlaminck '14
Today we got back to London, and today was when the food poisoning hit me. Dad was out for half the day, but I wasn't going to miss the Lion King.
We visited a bunch of markets in London.
And now for the main event!
The best part of it all was watch your boys reactions when the pulled a line from the movie. Your smiles were so big as you looked over at me seeing if I too caught it. Overall it was a good musical, the original songs were just ok.
We found this diamond in the rough for breakfast- The Lowdown
Tower Bridge, behind that is Tower of London, we didn't tour that because of a miscommunications. I thought Mom wanted to tour this, and the line was really long.
Here I wanted to have you guy try so many foods, but with it being Good Friday and lunch time, the place was packed like sardines. We made it out the exit and found another place to eat.

We arrived back home Saturday night. Sunday was Easter, you guys were ready!
Mom and Dad were prepared, we hid the eggs in the morning and had your baskets all ready within minutes.
