Sleeping in....on occasion.

Twice this past week Nicholas has put himself back to sleep in the morning. It was glorious since he slept until about 7am...sure beats 4:45-5.

He grabbed my hat, and my running gloves...and said he wanted to play baseball.

His sleeping-bag..he wanted me to cuddle with him.

Pumpkin patch

 With cousins Declan and Cormac.

It happened! No not that he let go of Woobie, instead, what he's reading.
When we got the "Toy's R Us" catalog in the mail I reminisced about growing up how we use to get a pen and circle darn near everything in that book. This was the way we told Mom and Dad what we wanted.
Lindsey and I showed it to Nick and he seemed interested. By next morning, it was amazing to him, and would literally walk around the house reading it.

In a few weeks we are going to start potty training Nick. As a reward we have offered up one raisin. The other day we caught him finishing up going and was putting things away. Then requesting his raisin. It was the first time he had gone all by himself.

Computer, meet Nick.

Mommy and Nick playing soccer. He has taken to soccer and kicks it like he's been doing it for years, using both his left and right leg. I was impressed along with some of our neighbors.
He also loves to fall on it and use his hands.

SKINS!!!
I use to say that when he was younger to get him to take off his shirt. Now he takes off his shirt and wants skins. It's basically a big hug with our shirts off.
We officially introduce Nicholas to the computer this week. There are alphabet learning games from him to play.

Our local mall had this, he wanted to ride the horsey.

This past weekend, we went to Ozelie's Halloween party.
Nicholas was his favorite character from Yo Gabba Gabba, Brobee.

Lindsey is 28 weeks Sunday. Things are going well.

Water Towers

Programing note: About 2 weeks ago the family went back to the 1800's and learned of how they lived. We were joined by the Matyja's and their new baby Cooper.

He now enjoys to play in the leaves where ever they fall.

Nick loves water, and building towers. You can only imagine the excitement when we pointed out to him a water-tower. And 15 that followed on the way to Grandma and Grandpas one afternoon.
Lindsey is now 26 weeks along.

Mom and Dad celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Wrestlemania

It starts almost 2 weeks ago when we took Nicholas to go see his favorite tv show characters live. Yo Gabba Gabba. We also went with Aunt Jenny, cousin Declan and Cormac.
Nick was scared for his life for most of the first half. After every performance he'd ask if it was all done, wanting to go home. By the second half he was loving it!

Back at home the kids do what they do love to do. Wrestle.
Though I'm pretty sure Nick starts it.
Wrestling...It's is one of Nicks favorite things to do. I'm not sure where the urge comes from but he always wants to do it. So often in fact that we have now set a 3 minute timer. 1 wrestle session a day.

Nick is still very scared at night, he now sleeps with a bright night-light. Down is the blanket that provided more darkness in his room, up are the covers over his head. We are not, as he's not, sure of what is scaring him, only time will tell.
 A Leaf Angel

Updated on baby boy #2 - Lindsey is 25 1/2 weeks along and at an appointment she learned the baby is measuring at 29 weeks.

Scared!

Missed us? Mom and Dad were out in Minnesota last weekend. Nick had a fun time playing with Grandpa and Grandma Bowman while we were "owa town".

Nick's new thing to do it pretend to be scared when reading certain books with monsters, or out of nowhere. So I slapped a kids monster tattoo on his arm. He loves to show you his monster an make a growling sound.

This dog, (Buster) is the closest thing we have to having our own dog at this time. Nick has loved him from the first time they met.

Nick playing. Rest assure, this all gets cleaned up before he gets his 15 minutes of tv time before bedtime.

I was hoping for a real nap, but it was just pretend.

  Can he do it?

Yes he can! Grandma was there just in case.

Dropped off at school today, his girl friends were excited to see him, but they were calling him Nicky. (not a fan)

Nick doesn't know...or wouldn't know even if we explained it, but we are taking him to see his favorite tv characters on Saturday. "Yo Gabba Gabba" will be shared with cousin Declan and Cormac.

Broccoli Over What?

I've seen a lot of kids eat food before, but when we put chicken, applesauce and broccoli on Nicks plate, we were surprised to see what happened. This is the same kid who wouldn't touch greens a year ago mind you, but this week he went right for that broccoli and finished it before touching the rest of the food.

If Nick gets embarrassed or is being shy, he'll stick out his tongue, not rude but in a cute way.

At school, they read books, sing songs, play game and are constantly making art projects. Nick enjoys breaking crayons and his favorite toy this week are Lego's.

At a friends 30th birthday party, Mommy reads to Nick and family friend Emily.

Mommy is 22 weeks along come Sunday.

Big annOuncement Yesterday

We went for another ultrasound yesterday, and we brought Nick along. He mostly played with Dads phone, but while there we learned-
It's a Boy
Nick smiles when we tell him he has a baby brother on the way.

This week Nick learned how to hold his finders to show his age.

Nobody was hurt in the making of this video.
Cousin Declan(5) and Nick were at Airtastic having lots of fun.
Apparently Nick has some acting skills too.
