A Baptism and Bubbles

Kevin was Baptized March 25th, 2012. It was a wonderful day! We thank all of our family and friends that were able to make it.

His Godparents are Dad's college roommate Tim Michelotti and Mom's lifelong friend Devin Colby.

We call him Bubbles, he manufactures a lot of them.

While we have work done in the basement all toys are upstairs. Nick LOVES laying his train tracks.This track changed soon after. He rarely connects them end to end, instead when the train is running out of track, he'll take from the other end and it will always continue and never stop. We definitely see a future engineer here.

The Big Brother

Nick is being awesome with his little brother Kevin! He loves making sounds and playing in front of him.

Nick celebrated his best friend Cole's 3rd birthday this past weekend. They all went to Chuck E Cheese. That place was a lot more impressive than I recall.

Clearly Nick is not shy and will sit on anyone's lap.

On days that Nick doesn't go to school, the little tv he is allow to watch is not allowed before 9am. I taught him where the nine was and how the clock worked, he looked like he understood fully. He just couldn't comprehend how long an hour is, so he waited and waited. When he was done waiting it was 8:10am.

Weighing In

Kevin went for his two month appointment this week where he weighed in at 11 lbs 4 oz. He is 23" long and growing out of 0-3 month clothes. The day he turned two months old it was like a light bulb was turned on in his head. He could see, smile and attempt to grab for things. He's already able to roll over to his back from his stomach but now he's working the reverse! He gets to his side and cannot fully make the turn to his stomach. We hope he stays a baby longer than Nick did, but the odds are against us.

We are holding onto those pretty blue eyes, knowing they won't last.

Last weekend Nick had a extremely fun one. One the his best friend Cole came over to play. The next day Nick (first from top) met up with his friend Ethan (second) and Cousin Max (bottom) at a "jumpy" place. Dad's are not allowed to jump, only kids.

On other days, Nick loves playing puzzles, cars and trains.

Kevin's Two Months Old

Last weekend we spent time with the Polzin side.

 Cousin Henry is very interested in Kevin.

As of the 4th he is 2 months old.

You didn't think we just got rid of Nick's monthly photo shoot clothes did you?

Smiles

For weeks I've been telling you of Kevin's smiles, and for weeks I've been trying to capture them without much luck but here are a couple that I did get and that were huge smiles.

 

 

He still only sleeps in this swing or in our arms. He refuses to sleep anywhere else, trust me, we keep trying.

Last weekend the Bowman family spent some time with the Polzin family. The kids were having fun with Kevin.

Remember Wooby? He's on the right, Grandma Bowman gave him a new one (on the left)when Kevin was born. Nick won't give up the old one.

Our latest fun time together is playing "hide-n-seek" in the dark!

Like Clockwork

Every two hours, practically on the dot, Kevin wakes up crying wanting to be fed.
He's currently having trouble going to sleep at night, his eyes are wide open from 9:30pm - 11:30pm

Unlike Nick, Kevin doesn't mind getting his diaper changed, what a relief! He's also pretty relaxed when we give him a bath. He still grunts a lot when he sleeps.

Since he was sick Kevin he couldn't get his one month shot until he was 7 weeks old. He did, and while there he weighed in at 10 lb 3 oz. 

 

 Kevin was in the womb when planking was cool and really wanted to show off his skills. 

Nick is Nick again, after a few crackdowns and lessons, our polite little boy is back, with this listening ears (most of the time).

Cracking down

Kevin is finally getting over that bad cold, same with Nick. Mommy and Daddy were spared.

Nick is amazing with these puzzles! The big ones have 24 pieces.
He loves to play with them. He received them for Christmas, the box says 3+

Keep up the good work Nick!

Nick has developed some problems listening and patience. The crackdown has began to get him to understand and follow the importance of both!

Nick played with Declan the other day who had big boy Legos. Nick enjoyed those.
