Camping

Last weekend we watched Uncle Todd family. Henry stayed with Mommy while Max went camping with Daddy and Nick.
Cousin Max and Nicholas in front of our tent. It went down to the 40's that night and both of those kids tossed and turn so much that each of them were out of their sleeping bag with no covers by the middle of the night.

We went camping with the "babypalooza" crew. There were 11 kids.
They all had a lot of fun camping and enjoyed the Wild West theme park.

Brothers

Kevin's update: He doesn't drink much milk from the bottles, perhaps 4-8 ounces during the day until Mommy is around. That is very little and he should be eating triple that. He does however love to eat food.  So far he's had-
Green beans • Sweet peas • Avocado • Sweet Potatoes • Chicken • Carrots • Butternut Squash • Bananas • Apples • Peaches • Zucchini • Parsnips • Flax Seed • Apricots

Kevin is 8 Months Old & Nicks Drawing & BIG NEWS

Lets start out with this shiner. He was sleeping on the couch when he rolled off and hit his head on the glass table. Might be a scare, so here is documentation on how it happened.

He's already 8 months old. It's going too fast. He already has two bottom front teeth and now exposed are three teeth breaking through the skin. The fourth isn't that far behind.

Nick LOVES playing with his little brother. Kevin loves Nick and follows him all around.

Nicholas came home the other day from school wanting to draw. I was blown away at his "Piggy Monster" drawing.

You may have noticed last weeks blog was missed.
We were out in Atlanta Georgia for Lindsey's business conference.

And now the biggest news-
We are moving in about six months.
We are building a new home in the empty lot in the middle (on the right side on the street). We are looking forward to creating many new memories with our family.

End Of An Era- Woobies

While Dad was outside reading the newspaper Nick asked if he could come out and read. He went back inside and brought out his favorite reading material which was a Thomas the Train catalog.

KEVIN!

A friend of Dads whom we call Uncle Drew gave this to Kevin.

Nicholas also received some from Uncle Drew when he was born.

I may have mentioned it before what we feed Kevin and how Nick was feed too. Here it is after they are made and frozen. Mommy puts a lot of love and time into making these frozen organic vegetable cubes.

It was time. He said he was ready...with a whimper.
We gathered up all of his Woobies, most of them that he's had with him since he was a few months old and one in particular "White Woobie" that hasn't left his side since. Nick was sad but we assured him that the Woobie Fairy will take good care of them and pass them onto a new baby. Dad was also a little misty. We left them on the front porch chair. The next morning he ran to the window to see if they were still there, but they were gone and a note was left thanking him for his donation along with a little treat.
Now Nick sleeps with Buzz Lightyear and Woody, both characters from the movie Toy Story.

Happy Birthday Mommy Daddy!

It was certainly cute to hear Nicholas sing us happy birthday, not individually but as a combo. He's right after all, since we share a birthday, we should share the song.

We celebrated by going out to eat a few times. When it was all over, we were amazed how good the kids were!
Kevin and Mommy
We all drove up to Lindy's Landing for some fun in the sun, good food, and music.

After dinner Nick wanted to go down the the beach.

Kevin learned to feed himself for the first time this week. It appeared to be a two hand job. Most of them ended up in his lap.

Stopping by to share birthday presents.
Grandpa and Grandma Polzin take a photo with the kids.

Where They Sleep Now

Here is the computer wiz at work. And yes that is a calculator in his left hand.
He loves to play the games Sesame Street has to offer. Here, he is digging for dinosaur bones.

A little art project Kevin did at school.

Remember when I said Nick was sleeping in a tent in the basement? Well here it is. He loves it and hasn't slept in his bed since.

And this is the face we walk into most of the mornings. Many times he just sits in there and plays until you come and get him.

In other news, this month has really become good at putting on his own clothes. He had a little trouble with the buttons, but is doing a excellent job.

Seven Month Old Pinching Smiles

Mom and Dad took a quick trip to Wisconsin while Grandma and Grandpa Polzin (Aunt Tammy too) watched the boys for the weekend. Thank you for the chance to get away!

Every year our town has a contest on who has the best pizza, surprisingly Nick and his best friend Cole could care less about it and would rather run around playing monsters.

Kevin turned Seven months old last Saturday. If you have ever come face to face with him, he most likely smiled back at you. His smiles and his calmness had the doctor say that "he's dangerous", meaning he could lead to us wanted many more kids. Funny.
Get closer to him, hold him, and he smiles at you while pinching you. He's strong.

The boys.
Recently, in order for anyone to sleep past 4:30 am we have separated the boys. Nick has been sleeping in a tent in the basement the past several days. Amazingly, both boys are getting excellent sleep now, so are we. Kevin is even attempting to sleep through the night!

Buckle Up Clapping

The car was loaded, we about to head out when a little voice from behind says, "Dad you forgot to buckle me in." So thankful that Nick reminded me, and what a big boy he was for telling me.

Kevin began showing how happy he gets at times by demonstrating his new skill, clapping.
