The Family Airplane Cruise

Our 2nd, more fun, family vacation.

We all flew to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and went on a seven day cruise with Royal Caribbean on the ship, Independent of the Seas. It stopped at the following locations.
San Juan, Puerto Rico - We just ate dinner there.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten - By far the best beach! "Little Bay Beach"
Basseterre, St. Kitts/Nevis - Beach day!

Everyone one loved playing in the ocean...except Kevin. Not until the last day when we took a day trip to a beach in Fort Lauderdale did you finally enjoy the ocean Kev.

Your guys first airplane ride, on Southwest.

Inside the plane.

Aboard the windy ship.

Nick, you LOVED the ocean. So much so that there were times we had to yell to get you to come back closer to the beach because you were too far out there.

Prepared to go into the water, but you really enjoyed the sand. This is also the first time you boys have been to the ocean, and played in it's sand

You boys LOVED the Adventure Ocean!!! They had so many daily activities that never not boring. You guys go to bed normally at 7pm. On vacation you were staying up to 9 which was really 7 and you still didn't want to leave. 9am we'd drop you guys off and pick you up at noon for lunch and family naps. We played with you at the "water park" and had ice cream until dinner. Then AO would come and get you again 40 minutes into our 150 minute dinner.

Nick, you tried everything that we put in front of you, some were pretty exotic.

Overall it was an awesome adventure with everyone. You boys really held it together despite the lack of sleep and constant activity. Mommy and can't wait to go on a family vacation again. Rumor has it, sometime in 2017.

Nick Turned 6!!!

It's official Nicholas! You are SiX and no longer and Kindergartener. In the fall he will start at a new school.

Party #1 - At Grandpa & Grandma Bowmans

Party #2 - The Polzin Family came over.

Party #3 - Breakfast and presents in bed.

Party #4 - Friends and cousins.

At the party #4 they rock climbed, played soccer, hockey and basketball.

You loved all of them! This was your reward for not going potty in your pants. Something that has been a big issue this week.

Yup, all these parties wore you out.  Not really, you like to stay up to 9pm these days.

Here is a photo of Mommy and Daddy at a Derby Party.

Easter + Duo Baptisms + Family Time = Blurry Family Photos

You guys ran super fast tracking down each last one of those Easter Eggs at the neighborhood hunt.

We spent the day before Easter at Uncle Todd & Aunt Amanda's. The next morning you guys lined up and were ready to see what the Easter Bunny left them.

You had the sweetest face when you saw the guitar.

Minutes after spotting the guitar, you showed that you have rock star form.

Nick's showing off his Lego Ninjago's

Cousins Easter Breakfast

On the way to your Polzin Grandparents, you learned how to read a map, and located the highway.

While there you guys tore into these baskets.

And this is the view on the way home from our Easter weekend.

That spot on the wall, that very spot, you painted that all by yourself.

Grace and Uncle Tim on her Baptism day. (She is Daddies niece)

Celebrating Great Grandmas 87th Birthday. You guys were playing Wii and she was watching.

Baby wanted to sleep there.

Spring soccer has started again. Nick you were lucky to get the same coach as in the fall.

Once a day you pick it up to play. And properly put it away. I'm not sure how long this will last but Daddy and Mommy see your love for music. Who knows where this might take you.

A Ride With Flashing Lights

Your first ambulance ride to the ER where you were diagnosed with early stages of pneumonia. A few hours before Kevin, your coughing became worse so Mommy took you to Walgreen's where they administrated two doses of medication. Both didn't work and your coughing became so bad you were gasping for air in between the breaths. The doctor at Walgreen's then called 911.
In the ER after they gave you the medication that contained steroids your tired body came to life and you became a funny boy.
You were released at about midnight.

Cousin Chris Suarez got married.
At the same Lutheran Church as Grandma and Grandpa Polzin.

The only people on St. Patrick's day in a bar not wearing green.

Cousin Kellie during the wedding.

A typical weekday morning. Daddy waits for his eggs to cook.

People are shocked to learn we play soccer in the house. We probably can't do it forever but right now we are both getting away with it.

Nick you love to do cartwheels everywhere you go. We need to get you in gymnastics at some point. But for now, we signed you up for soccer again per your request.

Kevin you are doing amazing at potty training. I might have said this before but you are extremely confident and reliable in this department. Even at the hospital you requested to go when needed.

New Adventures for Us

69 Month Photo

Kevin's here on his first trip to a brewery. Solemn Oath

Here you guys are eating pizza Uncle Todd made for Declan's 9th Birthday.

Dad's coworker Jamie came over and gave you both hair cuts. This was exciting because it was the first time you got a hair cut at home!

We made puppets that were a gift from Uncle Drew & Aunt Mary.

It was a kit that you guys got to glue on the pieces.

Some cuddle time with Mommy

Brothers playing games.

This was your final day at Miss Maria's home day care. The neighbors complained of too many vehicles coming to Maria's house and so everyone had to seek out a new day care. It threw a monkey wrench into Mom and Dads life but we found a place we think you'll both love. The new daycare is commercial and will be a great benefit to both boys.

Uncle Todd and I took Grandma Polzin out to lunch to go along with her spa day celebrating her 70th birthday.

On this day Nick, you went to a beginners golf event. Some of the instructors mentioned you have an amazing hockey snapshot. You didn't know anything about golf.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Your poster hung in the halls for the whole school to see.
