Some February Activity

February 2016

Grandma Bowman fell and broke something. You can find your names along with your cousins.

Declan's 10th birthday!

Building things with Dad.

A little homework that Nick wrote.

Learning how to write your name.

Drawing by Kevin

Kevin, you love climbing up that and singing at the top of your lungs.

 Getting Daddy's Sunday paper.

Kevin, you like to wear these shoes to bed. But the thing that is funny is that you call them your napping shoes.

One night a week ago Kevin comes downstairs when he is suppose to be in bed. He claims he wants to give us a kiss, but Dad can see right through his game. I ask, why are you smirking Kevin...he replies, "I can't hide my happy." We all smiled then.

You were so embarrassed as we sang Happy Birthday to you.

A Christmas Party at the Matjya's

The Moms

Breakfast in bed!

More Kevin's Birthday!!! Cake from Chilies.

I tossed out my parenting restrictions today and took you to see Star Wars since it's all that you and your friends talk about lately. You absolutely loved it and were on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Nick, you earned a near perfect report card so Mom and Dad gave you a bunch of marbles as a reward. This launched you into being closer to the amount to get a prize. Currently 50 marbles is a $25 value reward. You were short but earned your way to 50 so you and Dad went out to buy some more.
Mom and Dad were VERY proud of your hard work during your time in 1st grade so far.

Mom was waking and Nick, you came in to read to her. You were having trouble with a word so you grabbed Mommy's glasses and put them on her to help you. Pretty cute!

The Birthday Boy clocked in at his 4 year appointment at 31 lbs (10%) 38.5" high (14%)
With the older age, Kevin will move into the next level up in school "The Lions".

Planes and Monster Trucks

Christmas Day was suppose to be at Uncle Todd & Aunt Amanda's but Amanda had the flu. So Grandma & Grandpa Polzin worked really hard and fast to set up at their house.

Grandma Polzin's face after she seeing the present I gave Grandpa. Hillary Clinton toilet paper. Everyone had a good laugh.

Playing the game, pie in the face.

The kids requested Grandma Polzin to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" on Christmas day.

Day after Christmas

A trip to Moline IL to visit Uncle Drew and Aunt Mary and their newish baby Clara. You guys also got to hang with friends of the family Chase and Lance.
Dad is pretty good at blind group photos.

Mommy feeding Clara.

A serious game of Chess. Uncle Drew won.

And that was the end of our Christmas...or is it?

Thanksgiving & Into Christmas Season

Brothers waiting for green light to turn.
The room was pitch black.

Thanksgiving lineup for Psshhhhh.

The next morning cousins & french toast.

Family movie time.

Mom wasn't home to make an awesome meal, so I come up with the idea for you guys to make your own dinner...and we'll make a smoothie out of it.
Here is what you chose and drank-
Carrots
Raisins
Brussel sprouts
A pear
Chocolate coconut water
Blueberries
Peas
Peanut butter
Tomatos
And cranberries.
You liked it. Next time more protein.

Kevin's Christmas Show with Day Care.

Double hair cuts. Daddy's happy, no waiting.

Kevin, you just squeaked by clocking in at 30 lbs. making you available to upgrade to Nick's old booster and into a normal seat belt. You were super excited and within a few days of training you figured out how to do it.

The 9 and 3 year old bond well together.

Kevin discovering the ornaments high up.

Sometimes you just want to sleep under your bed.

Both Kevin and Nick took swim lessons and did a great job. With more things to learn, they'll remain in the same class. The Y recently revised their wristband policy so now Nick can go down the big water slides since he can swim half the pool length.

2015
I have many ideas for next year.

December, the 4 is right over Nick's shoulder.

Kevin is very good at doing the splits. He likes to ask other people do them too.
As of this week Nick has been doing all of his homework in the car ride to pick up Nick. It's awesome and impressive.
