April 2022 - Baseball, Track, Easters, Scouts and a Door Nob

154th Monthly Photo

Dad bought a new bike, this time, a mountain bike.

Dad went to Minnesota for a birthday party and attended a White Sox vs Minnesota Twins game.
All the guys were SigEps.

Looking shnazing in his new uniform. Yup, even though you hung up your cleats,
you were asked to come back multiple times...

Celebrating Easter weekend a week earlier at Uncle Todd and Aunt Amanda's.

Nick, lining up for the 800m

Decorating the eggs.

Easter Morning. This might have been the last time the Easter Bunny, or Santa for that matter, come to our home.

We, I mean the Easter bunny, hid the eggs too well on your guys. We had to assist you.

ICE CREAM...if was a fundraiser...thats why we went :)

I love this shirt on you! And you wore it the day you selected Albert Einstein as your school project

Pack Regatta Race - Your design

Sadly Kevin, you didn't do so well.

You and I were messing around and we broke your handle....and had to put in a new one.

My view looking through the hole of the door :)

Invitational 800m
Junior High - You got 7th.

Blackhawks game

They won!

I found another project to do. More to come next month.

Fun thing of the month, Kevin before you went into your soccer game, you handed Mom your glasses, watch, necklace from Punta Cana and your pocket skateboard. It was comical

March 2022 - Downtown Fun, Scouts, Beach Vacation

This is the month the covid "ended" Illinois opened up and we traveled.

153rd Monthly Photo

We went downtown, to an Arcade.

And to an insanely pricey ice cream shop!

Then to Blue Man Group, you guys were folding over laughing!!! That made Mom and Dad smile.

No trip is complete without a Bean photo.

And finally we made our way to the ice rink. Something we've had on our list for a long time....and on this day, the sun heated up and was a 68 degree day out, average is 32. The ice was melting, they canceled the event but let us go anyway. Kevin, you were soaking wet from falling.

There's Mom cruising along.

Out to lunch, Kevin art.

And later out to an awesome dinner.

One more city photo.

I dragged you guys to do a free tour with me, it was very cold and I got the eyes from you all.

Nick's 2021-2022 Winter Basketball team.
With all the other stuff going on in your life, you made it to 2/12 games, and 1 practice.

There are no more child booster seats in the Polzin vehicles. Everyone has graduated, this time, Kevin.

St Patty's Plainfield Parade. It was 1000 times busier than 2019.

Rock climbing with the Boy Scouts.

Nick you ended up getting a merit badge.

You kept telling me your hair is fine and to leave you alone. Then I took this photo and showed you.

Reptile man with the scouts.

Another Cub Scout event, we sat with a councilman.

Next, we left for a beach vacation. Punta Cana, we stayed at the Dreams Macao.

They had lots of activities for the kids, here they are playing soccer.

You boys loved the frozen drinks.

This was a big reason we picked this place.

February 2022 - Wrestling, Covid-19, Scouts

152nd Monthly Photo

You are putting on a show for us in your room.

A birthday party at the Hess's.

You became with this opponent, then had a tough match and beat him in conference.

You lost to this kid in a very tough battle.

Overall you went to have an amazing 12-0 in the season and
13-1 in the conference (you had a bye in the first round).

Grandpa Bowman came to nearly every match you had, I didn't get a photo with you two however Grandpa Polzin was able to make it down for your conference meet.

We hosted a post wrestling season party.

Just a moment in time.

Painting your moods.

Boy Scout outing - Bittersweet Michigan.

You had a clogged duct that needed surgery.

I started cutting the backsplash for the basement bar.

Covid-19
I don't what the future will say but we avoided covid for almost 2 full years. And then when masks when optional at your boys schools, you brought it home (even though you said you kept your masks on)
I feel Nick you got it, gave it to Kevin and then to me on our drive/from the Ski trip. Kevin you had a bad cold, Nick you had no symptoms at all but later developed covid toes (a rash). Dad had a bad cold and lost taste and smell for 3 weeks. That's scary! Mom avoided it all as us three lived on the 1st floor and basement while mom lived on the second floor for 10 days.

Cub Scouts - Engineering meeting
