Summer Fridays with my oldest. It was packet pickup for my race so we went out to lunch.
For the second time, Dad ran the Sprint Triathlon, but this time I trained in the swimming and hoped to beat my time.
I shaved nearly 8 minutes off my time from last year. I feel I could go even faster if it did it again, but I'm satisfied for now.
One day you won't need to climb up.

Nick, you and I built something but the Attic was crazy hot!
We built this because it was blocking Mom from getting into the car.

On the Monday of the week, Dad went up to Northbrook to visit a fraternity brother that wanted to show Nick the company he works for because you were showing signs of interest in Engineering- WJE. Nick spent a couple hours going around the lab which Dad worked in his friends office.
That Wednesday he was invited to go out to a job site downtown Chicago by the same company. We took the train in and I worked from our city office. The photo shows where he was at one point. They took him around and then out to lunch. He learned a lot that day and decided he wanted to be a Structural Engineer.
