New word this week - More

We've been teaching Nick the sign for "more" for many months and he never seemed to learn it. This week he said "more" and did the sign at the same time. We are are excited with every new word he says. No need for him to sign if he can say it :)
What did he want more of? BLUEBERRIES

Nick can eat his weight in blueberries, in fact he's turning into one.

  1. You know, it's a good thing to be bilingual, no need to stop with the sign language! It's awesome now that Aden will say the word and sign it at the same time. I swear if he learns the sign and the word, he learns how to use it 10 times faster! Keep going with the signing!

  3. Research has shown that babies who sign are less frustrated since they have a way of expressing their wants and needs. Babies who are taught a few simple signs not only speak earlier than non-signers but have larger vocabularies and become better readers. Signing stimulating more synapses of the brain. Signing babies have IQ’s that are 10-12 points higher.

    Babies who sign…

    Speak earlier than non-signers
    Experience less frustration
    Develop larger vocabularies
    Become better readers

    Don't give it up!

  5. LOVE the first photo with the hat - too adorable! We are signing with Lance as well, but I wonder how long it will take for him to repeat... he just looks at us and babbles his normal dadada..mamamama. I just love reading about all the new things Nick is doing! Hope all is well with you and the family.
