Santa Claus is coming to town...

Cousin Max & Nick eating.

Uncle Todd, Aunt Amanda and baby Henry stopped over to play.

Surprise!!!

Lindsey will be 37 weeks this Sunday, Christmas Day.
We are hoping to at least get through Christmas.

Also over the weekend we had a great big babypalooza Christmas party with my fraternity and some Bradley friends. I took video with our new camera but am still figuring out how to transfer the files since it's not compatible with a mac.

Day & Night in the City

Nick's first train ride to Chicago. A nightmare. Terror and panic came over him as soon as the train started moving. After about 15 minutes of screaming and Dad walking him up and down the isles trying anything, a light bulb came on in my head. I asked him to stop crying and we'll go make a fort. I took my winter coat and we both hid underneath it while he watch toy story on my phone. Relief.

Fearing the return train ride the next day, Nick assured us that he wouldn't cry. He didn't and was a perfect angel. Then he reminded us that he wasn't crying.
Christkindle Market - Santa came right up to Nick here, again Nick informed him that he wanted Buzz for Christmas.

Macy's toy window.
The Bean
He didn't even see it yet, I said, Nick look right, he was in awe and sprinted to it, (100 yards) lots of running around and fun was had.

A bunch of friends all gathered for Brookfield Zoo's Magic Lights.

Why? *Answer. Why? *Answer. Why? *Answer.

Why? Of course, every kid goes through the "why" stage. Nick is in that stage now, and he asks "why" again before the answer is even complete. Good times.

I have a serious rug burn on my right knee this week. It's a result of me diving across the hallway stopping Nick from falling down the stairs backwards while he was sleepwalking the other night. A very scary situation, I'll take this pain over what might have happened. Lindsey is so thankful I got up instead of her. We now have a gate up at night.
So unless you want to see my knee the only photo we have this week is:

Nick and Cormac dancing to Yo Gabba Gabba.

Trimming the Tree

Dad helping Nick hang a high ornament.

Mom and Nick filling up the tree. It was cool to see how excited he was this year. He did an excellent job putting up all of his ornaments.

We decided to play with some of them before hanging.

A little bit of Nick's building construction.

Thank you all of you that donated to Nick's MDA fund-raiser a few weeks ago. Nick jumped the most in his class. In 2 minutes he jumped 200 times. Well done Nick!

Hugs For Everyone!

It's pretty funny, whenever we leave a party or its time for bed and the party is still going, Nick goes around and try's to give everyone a hug before departing upstairs.

Just relaxing reading a magazine.

Lindsey is 33 weeks Sunday. Here is her favorite ultrasound photo from last week.

Thanksgiving is now over, I have no photos, but now it's Christmas time!
We were prepared to have the photographer shoot the photo immediately as he sat down. Nick surprised us all, shyly smiled at Santa, then told him that he wanted a "Buzz Lightyear" for Christmas. We actually snapped a few photos and there was no screaming, a great experience this year..

Potty Trained! 99.3%

Last weekend, Friday through Sunday, we did nothing but play inside and encouraged him to drink as much fluids as he wanted. Going about it that way ensured he would need to use the bathroom often. It is pretty exhausting, and it is pretty rewarding.

His last diaper.

Flying Nemostein, showing off his undies.

On Monday it was back to school he went where he is doing great and really becoming a big boy going potty there. A couple minor accidents here and there as expected. He's even waking up dry from a nap and even overnight. That had never happened before in all of his life.
Mom and Dad are very proud.

Speaking about big boys...here is the award ceremony photo from that race over Halloween, where we received our first place trophies.

Happy Birthloween!

3rd Annual Halloween Baby-palooza

Mommy and Nick getting ready to trick or treat.
He kept saying, Happy Birthloween, it was so funny!

Nick went around with his best friend from school, Cole.
They had a great time going to all of the houses and the ones who handed out candy got a big kick out of them!

This past Friday myself and my SigEp friends went and ran the "Screaming Pumpkin relay marathon"
What is that you ask? "The Screaming Pumpkin event promises to be one of the hilliest and darkest running events in the country. Taking place in Springdale Cemetery, participants can begin running any time after 6:00 PM, depending on the length of time they predict it will take them to complete the 26.2 mile distance before, or ideally, ON the stroke of midnight." We'll we started at 7:40..and crossed the finish line with the announcer counting down with 2 seconds left.  We had won, beating 54 other teams.

Lindsey will be 30 weeks Sunday. The baby is measuring one week ahead, she's been tired from the start and hasn't had any relief.
